Quick start
Open a file
Use the folder icon at the top right and choose E57, LAS, LAZ, PLY, XYZ or TXT. For PLY, XYZ and TXT pick the units and the up axis; E57 and LAS carry their own.
Wait for the import
The scan is converted once into an offline project. Large files take minutes; the finished project then opens at once. The original file is never changed.
Look around the cloud
On a Mac, drag to orbit, Shift-drag or right-drag to pan, scroll to zoom. On an iPad or iPhone, one finger orbits, two pan, pinch zooms.
Measure what you need
Switch on measuring at the bottom, choose the kind with the arrow beside it, and click or tap points in the cloud. Every point is verified at full resolution.
Cut out a room
The cube icon opens Rooms & sections. Save a cut under a name together with the camera view, and return to it any time.
Add a model
Add an IFC model to the open project and place it by an estimate from its extents, by dragging, or in centimetre steps.
Frequently asked questions
Importing a large file takes a long time or looks stuck.
The import reads the whole source file and builds levels of detail, so a file of several gigabytes takes minutes rather than seconds. The progress indicator advances as blocks complete. Keep the app in the foreground and the device on power.
The app offers Pro instead of opening a second project.
The free version keeps one project. Buying Pro removes the limit. A project already on the device can always be reopened — the limit only applies to adding another.
I bought Pro on one device and cannot see it on another.
Sign in to both devices with the same Apple Account and use Restore purchase in the Pro screen. A purchase cannot move between different Apple Accounts.
The IFC model appeared far away from the scan.
A model and a scan are often not in the same coordinate system — the model is drawn around its origin while the scan sits in survey coordinates. Use placement by estimate from the extents, then fine-tune by dragging or in centimetre steps. The model is what moves; the scan stays where it is, and scale never changes.
The model is gone after I closed the project.
Where a model was placed is not yet stored with the project, so add the model again after reopening. Measurements between the scan and the model are saved like any others.
I cannot select a single element of the model or see its properties.
The app draws a model as a whole. It does not yet select individual elements or read property sets, BCF or IDS.
I cannot select a point to measure inside a panorama.
Switch the mode to Panorama + cloud. A panorama on its own is a photograph; a verified three-dimensional point can only be taken where cloud points are under the cursor as well.
The cloud shifts as detail changes.
Projects imported by older versions pick different points at each level of detail. Re-import the original file; measurements and sections are unaffected.
The number of points shown on my iPad dropped.
The app lowers the point budget when the device cannot keep up or runs warm. Turn on the Performance overlay in the menu — the Thermal line says whether heat is the cause. The budget returns once the device cools.
Are my projects backed up to iCloud?
No. On iOS and iPadOS the project library is excluded from backup, because a single project can be several gigabytes that the app can rebuild from the original scan. Keep your own backup of the original scans. On macOS, Time Machine backs projects up.
How do I get measurements out of the app?
The ruler icon at the top opens the list of measurements and notes, with export to CSV and JSON. A PNG snapshot of the view is there too. Exported JSON can be imported back and merged.
I have no scan. What can I try the app on?
Download our synthetic room and its IFC model from the Sample data section on the home page. The room is exactly 6.000 × 4.000 × 2.700 m, so a measurement is easy to check.
What to include in a support request
Safe technical information is enough. It lets us reproduce the problem without needing the contents of your scan.
- the device model and the macOS, iOS or iPadOS version
- the app version shown in the menu
- the exact wording of the error and the step it happened at
- the format, approximate size and point count of the source file
Do not email complete scans. If a file really is needed to reproduce the problem, we will first agree on a safe way to hand it over.
