1. Who publishes the app
The app is published by Virtalia s.r.o., Company ID 23703164, VAT ID CZ23703164, registered office at Bělehradská 858/23, 120 00 Prague 2, Czech Republic, registered with the Municipal Court in Prague under file C 431546. Contact: info@virtalia.cz.
Because the app processes no personal data, Virtalia is neither a controller nor a processor of personal data in respect of its contents. Data connected with a purchase is processed by Apple as a separate controller under its own policies.
2. What we do not collect
The app contains no networking code. It opens no connection to our servers or anyone else’s — not at launch, not during import, not on failure.
- No account, no registration, no sign-in.
- No analytics, telemetry or crash reports sent to us.
- No advertising or cross-app tracking; the app never asks for App Tracking Transparency.
- No access to location, contacts, calendar, microphone or camera.
- No sharing with third parties, because no data leaves the device.
3. Where your scans are
An imported project, saved measurements, notes and named sections sit in your device storage — in the app’s Documents folder on iOS and iPadOS, and in its sandbox on macOS. You and the system have access to them; nobody else does.
On iOS and iPadOS the project library is marked as excluded from iCloud backup. A single project is routinely several gigabytes that the app can rebuild from the original scan, and Apple explicitly discourages filling backup space with it. Keep your own backup of the original scans.
Deleting the app deletes the projects inside its storage. Projects opened from elsewhere — iCloud Drive or an external disk, for instance — stay where they are.
4. What the app stores on the device
The following is stored locally, serves only to run the app, and is sent nowhere. It matches what the app declares in its Privacy Manifest under Apple’s rules.
- The interface language and references to projects opened outside the library (kept in the app’s preferences).
- The modification date of a project file, which is what the library is sorted by.
- System uptime, used to blend levels of detail and fade panoramas in smoothly.
5. The Pro purchase
Unlocking Pro is a one-time in-app purchase handled by Apple through the App Store. The app never sees your payment details or the identity of your Apple Account; it receives only whether the purchase is valid.
Processing of payment data is governed by Apple’s privacy policy. Receipts, refunds and restoring a purchase are handled by Apple.
6. Children
The app is not directed at children and collects nothing about them, just as it collects nothing about anyone else.
7. This website
The website pointclouds.virtalia.cz uses no cookies, analytics or tracking code, and loads nothing from third parties — its fonts and the library behind the 3D demo are served from the site itself.
The live demo runs entirely in your browser on synthetic data. Nothing you do in it is sent anywhere.
Like any web server, the server hosting the site may briefly log technical details of requests (IP address, time and page address), solely to keep it running and secure.
Links to the App Store lead to Apple’s website, where Apple’s privacy policy applies.
8. Changes to this policy
If the app’s behaviour ever changes so that it collects or transmits any data, we will update this policy before that version ships and state a new effective date.
